A matriz será inversível se o determinante for não-nulo, isto é, diferente de zero. Isto posto, fazemos:

\(\begin{vmatrix} 1 & 0 & x & | & 1 & 0 \\ 2 & 1 & - 1 & | & 2 & 1 \\ 1 & 3 & 2x & | & 1 & 3 \end{vmatrix} \neq 0\)
\(2x + 0 + 6x - x + 3 - 4x \neq 0\)
\(3x \neq - 3\)
